Social Media Analyst – Louisville

National agency’s Louisville’s office is seeking a Social Media Analyst to oversee the work for one of its major clients.  This position will be tasked to collect and analyze data related to national social media campaigns, help identify appropriate social media channels and tailor campaigns to appropriate target audiences.  Additionally, they will track the performance of national social media initiatives and develop/recommend/implement changes to improve results.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Provide evaluative volumetric and content analysis of social data working with social media monitoring tools such as Radian6, Sysomos, Crimson Hexagon
  • Provide evaluative volumetric and content analysis of owned/shared social data working with tools such as Facebook Insights, You Tube Insights, Twitter Analytics, Buddy Media and PageLever
  • Provide formative analysis of data in support of the planing process using tools such as Forrester Technographics, Simmons, iconoculture, eMarketer, comScore, Prizm, Nielsen @plan etc
  • Provide analysis of social media data nationally for clients including monthly updates, yearly summaries and ad hoc requests
  • Distill complex and high volumes of data for clients into simple KPIs and data visualizations / dashboards / scorecards
  • Provide actionable insights and tactical recommendations
  • Understand client’s business requirements and design reporting and analysis approaches tailored to their needs
  • Identify key performance indicators and goals for social media campaigns
  • Stay current with client and industry benchmarks
  • Work closely with Account team in making specific and actionable client recommendations
  • Foster internal and client relationships

The requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 2 years of social media analytical experience required (agency envirnoment preferred)
  • Experience with web analytics packages such as SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, Omniture, Webtrends
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of digital and social marketing
  • Proven success working with and understanding social media monitoring and listening is essential
  • Ability to write clear and concise presentations for clients summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications in a straight forward and enlightening way
  • Detailed oriented and the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and unpredictable environment and be able to deliver high-quality work under deadline pressures
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship development skills
  • A curious and critical thinker
