Position:  Senior Licensing Manager – SPO

Location:  Detroit, MI

Compensation:  $110k plus incentives

Our client, a leading international trademark licensing organization is seeking a Senior Licensing Manager. The position is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic licensing programs for a variety of clients. The selected individual will be working with high-level executives at Fortune 500 companies necessitating a professional demeanor, superior listening and relationship building skills. The candidate must have the ability to provide a high level of client service to understand and implement the strategic goals of each of their clients. Other responsibilities include researching various product categories, developing and pitching prospects, negotiating deal terms through contract execution, financial analysis of overall program results, and working closely with licensees to oversee product development, approvals and retail presentations and promotions.

Our client is seeking candidates with experience in licensing, marketing, retail planning, advertising, brand strategy, sales or consulting.  Outstanding personal characteristics / skills needed include integrity, professional relationship development, account management, communications, detail focus and working within a collaborative team environment.

The appropriate person for this role could come from a number of different backgrounds.  It could include licensing firms, advertising agencies, corporate trademark licensing manufacturers, consumer brand management or other corporate and marketing management positions.  Most important is for the person to illustrate an understanding of licensing, brand strategy development and to possess the personal attributes and skills outlined in this summary.

This position requires a B.A. with 8+ years’ experience with emphasis on brand management, marketing directly to consumers.  Preference will be given to candidates with automotive restoration parts and accessories (SPO) experience.
