VP Digital Strategy – Nashville, TN – 100K+

We need an experienced VP Digital Strategy to join the Nashville team of a successful full service integrated agency.  The VP Digital Strategy, reporting to the CEO, is responsible for leading, developing, recommending, implementing and reporting on the digital marketing strategies of the agency’s clients.
The ideal candidate is prepared to take a leadership role within the agency and with clients.  The role requires deep knowledge of digital across all channels (display, video, social, mobile, search, local), creative thinking and strong ideation capabilities. The ability to think and apply digital at scale is important.
Success will be measured by the integration of digital with the broader media planning effort in order to make media plans digital at the core. Success for the client will be measured by the delivery of digital media campaigns that drive sales and profits.

Responsibilities:

  • Retail experience is preferred, alternatively strong knowledge of co-op media marketing.
  • Strong experience in audience based media planning, including digital targeting and media optimization across display, video, mobile, social and search.
  • A hands-on leader, possess proven and strong team building abilities. Galvanizing, motivating, creative and inspiring across the entire agency team.  The position is strategic but requires an individual who will perform all functions of planning, recommending and executing digital media plans.
  • Experience with campaign management/ad serving technology (i.e. Double Click DART, Atlas DMT)
  • Preferred working knowledge of third party Internet marketing research: comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen NetView, @Plan, NetRatings, and others
  • Demonstrate collaborative and partnership approach to client management. Be seen as a trusted digital expert and valued extension of the clients’ own team. The ability to work well in a client-facing role, both in person and remotely is a critical.
  • Effective relationship building within the agency, client groups, across partner agencies, media and technology companies, research companies and other key players in the digital landscape. This role demands a high degree of collaboration.
  • Ability to work, integrate and apply digital across media platforms (television, print, radio, OOH, etc.…) to develop holistic media plans.
  • Ability to develop and present the agency’s digital capabilities to the client events e.g. training, workshops, etc.

Qualifications:

  •  Ideally, the candidate will have 7 to 10 years in the digital media strategy/planning/buying discipline – preferably with extensive experience in either retail or CPG.
  • ​Proven track record of Innovation across all areas of activity: online, search, video and mobile, social etc.
  • Strong knowledge/experience in acquisition based digital marketing efforts spanning strategy, execution, optimization and analytical insights.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile and social marketing.
  • Functional understanding of audience targeting, segmentation, and data driven marketing e.g. dynamic creative, retargeting, etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
  • Bachelors or equivalent university degree is required.
